In accordance with Section 7(1) of the Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (Amendment) Act, 2026, BNP leader Miftah Siddique has been appointed as the chairman of the Sylhet WASA board. According to the official notification, he will serve in this capacity for a period of three years.
