Planning Adviser Wahiduddin Mahmud has attributed the ongoing energy crisis to the import-dependent policies pursued by the previous government. He noted that the current administration is focusing on increasing gas extraction, promoting renewable energy, and strengthening fuel reserves. The government anticipates that these measures will yield tangible results within a period of one to one and a half years.
