In preparation for its transition from the Least Developed Country (LDC) status, Bangladesh is prioritizing the establishment of strategic trade partnerships. The government is currently pursuing bilateral free trade agreements (FTAs) with the European Union, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates.
Beyond these bilateral efforts, Dhaka is also working toward securing entry into the 19-member Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) to bolster its international trade position.
