The Singaporean government has launched a matchmaking service titled FirstDate, specifically designed for public sector employees. Unlike standard dating applications that rely on swiping mechanisms, this platform utilizes a mathematical framework to facilitate connections.
The service employs the Gale-Shapley Stable Marriage algorithm, which pairs participants based on their preference orderings. This system is structured to arrange one date at a time for each participant, rather than allowing for multiple simultaneous interactions.
