A recent study indicates that climate change likely contributed to the triggering of a glacier collapse in Nepal. According to the findings, mean temperatures in the Himalayan region during August were approximately 5 degrees Celsius (9 degrees Fahrenheit) above normal levels. Scientists attribute 1.5 degrees Celsius of this temperature increase directly to climate change.
