BBS initiates dynamic business register for 11.7 million economic units

The Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) has launched an initiative to establish a dynamic business register, aiming to encompass 11.7 million economic units. According to the project plan, the register will first incorporate large and medium-sized enterprises identified during the 2024 Economic Census. Following this initial phase, the system will gradually expand to include micro, small, cottage, and informal business sectors.
